![]() Et Lux Perpetua Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 8:00 pm at Christ Church Deer Park - “O Death, you are a bitter pill” - so tells us composer Hans Leo Hassler. Certainly, humans have feared and railed against death throughout our existance. However death, or the loss of someone close to us, can also bring peace — and hope for what may come next. It is this hopefulness that the Bell'Arte Singers will explore in a thoughtful and uplifting concert featuring Herbert Howells' haunting and light-filled Requiem. Contact the choir directly here » CAMMAC Toronto Once a month, CAMMAC singers and instrumentalists get together and "read through" a mass, cantata or opera (for choir and orchestra) under the direction of a professional choir director. The read-throughs are not intended as rehearsals, and we do not perform for any formal audience, although listeners are welcome. Monthly readings are held at Christ Church Deer Park. Next up: March 21 2010 at 2-4:30 pm: Conductor Mark Vuorinen directs Bruckner: Te Deum & Psalm 150. For contact and information, please visit CAMMAC website here »
