You may also make pre-authorized donations through your credit card. The issuer of your credit card will automatically debit your card account on a regular basis in accordance with your instructions.

The advantages for you are...

• Convenience – Your donation is withdrawn directly from your account or debited to your credit card on a monthly or other periodic basis.
  There is no need for you to carry cash to the church, or write a cheque. If you’re ill, on vacation, out of town, or don’t want to carry cash, there is no need to make special arrangements for your donations to the church. It happens automatically and conveniently.
  
  
• Safety – There is no cheque/cash to be lost or stolen.
  
  
• Confidentiality – Your account information is stored in a confidential computer file. Each payment date, the net debit to your account or credit card is sent directly to your financial institution. You will only receive notifications from us if the payment was not accepted.
  
  
• Cost – The cost to you is simply the regular cost your financial institution bills you to clear a cheque, the fee, if any for your credit card, or any interest on any unpaid balances on your credit card.

Q How will my donation be recognized?
A When the collection plate is passed during worship services, you may place a card on the plate which is available in the pews indicating that you are supporting Christ Church Deer Park through a pre-authorized donation plan.

Q Do all financial institutions participate in the direct debit program?
A YES! All financial institutions that offer chequing accounts accept Direct Debit Payments.

Q Which credit cards may be used for the credit card pre-authorized donation program?
A You may use either VISA or MasterCard for the pre-authorized credit card program.

Q What type of accounts can be used?
A Almost any type of account -- savings, chequing, etc. can accept Direct Debits. Check with your financial institution for details on accounts from which direct withdrawals can be made.

Q Are there any costs to Christ Church Deer Park to operate these programs?
A There is a small monthly flat fee for the pre-authorized direct donation program. The credit card program charges 2.9% of the donated amounts to the Church.

Q How do I update/change the information for this program?
A Simply complete a new authorization form and place it in the collection plate, or deposit it in the church office. Changes to this plan are required in writing by the 7th of the month in advance of the change.

Q Do I have to contact my bank or credit card issuer to confirm my payments?
A NO! Your payments are debited to your account on the payment date. You will receive your normal statements from your bank. Your credit card donations will appear on your monthly statement.
