Misbehavin’ Monarchs: Exploring Biblical Kings of Questionable Character is the title of a book by Barbara J. Essex (Pilgrim Press Paperback 187 pp, November 2006). The latest in her popular Bible study series, Essex examines the lives and leadership of some renowned biblical monarchs and lesser known kings. Essex is also author of Bad Boys of the Bible: Exploring Men of Questionable Virtue (2002), Krazy Kinfolk: Exploring Dysfunctional Families of the Bible (2005) and Bad Girls of the Bible: Exploring Women of Questionable Virtue, (1999).
