Creating a Sacred Space
Whether expressed through chanted plainsong or trumpet flourishes, music plays a vital role in enhancing our spiritual experience.

Eric RobertsonOn Tuesday September 29 at 7 pm, join Christ Church Music Director, Eric Robertson, for a unique presentation of the various ways music is used to create a sacred space.

The evening, featuring vocal and instrumental illustrations, lively discussion – and one or two musical surprises, will take place in the sanctuary.

Creating a Sacred SpaceEric Robertson has been an active member of the Canadian music scene ever since he arrived here from Edinburgh as a young teenager. He has held positions in many different churches of many different denominations. Mr. Robertson is an Adjunct Professor of Composition at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music and a Juno and Gemini award-winning recording artist, record producer, and film composer. He has also written extensively for the concert stage. In June, Mr. Robertson recorded an album of Renaissance music at Christ Church Deer Park with the Canadian Brass.
