Who We Are
Christ Church Deer Park has been serving the Yonge and St. Clair area since 1870. Our history makes us humble. Our people make us proud. We are an inclusive, affirming and energetic faith community. Whoever you are and wherever you are in your spiritual journey, we welcome and accept you.
Our parish mission is to put Christianity into action through compassion, worship, learning, outreach and community engagement. We strive to create a safe and spacious community where all are welcome, and where we explore issues of life and faith with each other.
There's Life Here!
Feel it in the inspiring music of our choir. See it in the smiles of our children as they join us for Holy Communion around the altar. Hear it in the conversations over coffee upstairs in Elliott Hall after the Sunday services.
There's Worship Here!
On Sunday, we have two regular services at 8 am and 10 am plus Jazz Vespers twice a month at 4:30 pm. On Wednesday we have an early morning Eucharist at 7:30 am. We follow the liturgical calendar and celebrate other holy days throughout the year. Learn More.
There's Community Here!
We pray together and we play together. Our community extends beyond traditional Sunday worship. Join our book club or bridge club. Hear interesting guest lecturers. Come to one of our social evenings. Volunteer at the Christmas Fair or help out with the spring and fall rummage sales — our great parish recycling effort. We love parties and have them often, including a fantastic Pancake Tuesday supper attended by people of all ages and stages.
There's Music Here!
Music plays is integral to worship at Christ Church Deer Park. Our repertoire includes the best of Anglican liturgical music including classical and modern choral works. Our choir blends the voices of volunteer choristers with professional leads. Preludes and postludes are often played on our magnificent Karl Wilhelm organ with its classic French styling.
