There's Worship & Music Here!

The Worship and Music Committee concerns itself with Anglican worship at Christ Church Deer Park. It is a collaborative group comprised of clergy, lay representatives and the director of music. The committee tries to make sure that worship is reverent, relevant and meaningful to parishioners and visitors.

The committee has oversight of a range of sacred activities including the work of the Chancel Guild which maintains the ecclesiastical linens and silver through to the organization of Lay Readers and Chalice Bearers.

Recent initiatives of the Worship and Music Committee include:

the design, administration, analysis and report of a Parish Survey concerning Sunday Worship at Christ Church Deer Park
the presentation and testing of innovations and improvements to worship such as gluten-free communion wafers; and
the ongoing development of a recommended format for a Joint Sunday Service to unite all parishioners in a single act of worship from time to time throughout the year.
